My child is 5 months old, i called Kaiser's After Hours medical advice on Monday night 5/7/07. She told us to call in the morning and make a appointment for the next day. I did and proceeded to call into work. I told them that I probably couldn't work at all but that I would call later and let them know. I failed to do so, as to take care of my child, which I stated clearly that she was sick. They said that I siad I would come in and thus failed to show I had corrective actions taken against me. How can I be a better daughter? D;?

So my parents have just split up, they both have partners now and everything. And my mum is having to raise me and my little brother (who is 5) by herself, basically. My dad isn't a very nice man. Well he is when he wants to be, I don't like him that much though. My little brother is quite misbehaved, he sometimes doesn't do as he is told, he hits me and sometimes hits my mum (I know, a 5 year old.. its crazy). My mum is a very good mother, I don't want to make it sound like shes a bad mum because she isn't. She's just too soft, a bit of a push over really. I've never really been an angel either, I do behave but its just I never do as I'm told, I never get up in time for school so I'm usually late (and I only live literally 3 minutes away D:) and I don't do jobs around the house either. And I know only I can do something about it, I feel terrible and guilty and I feel sorry for my mum because she's sooo lovely and she'd do anything for me and my little brother and my other siblings, I try to be as good as I can its just me and my mum get on each other's nerves sometimes and I just shout at her when she annoys me, and I feel awful. I know you're probs thinking ''Well why don't you actually behave'' but it's not as easy as it sounds, getting up in a morning is a real struggle for me haha, and I try to do as I'm told.. I just don't try hard enough I guess. Could someone give me advice on easier ways to get up earlier and do as I'm told and do more chores? Im not sure what the excersise is called, but i just hold 20 pound weights and lift them to my shouders while theyre horizontal. I do that 60 times in total, splitting it up into 20. 15, 15, 10 to break it up and make it easier. Then I do 60 chest flies with ten pound weights, splitting it up into thre repetitions of twenty. After, I do ten more 20 pound lifts. I really need something to work my whole chest? just an old wives tale until I tried it last night, I had 3 slices of toast with generous helpings of mature English cheddar on all three of them. During the night I must have had 9 different extremely vivid dreams, I can remember every one of them in detail and each one was completely different from the next. when driving truck doesn't sift doen in gear...at 50 miles a hour the RPM is up to 3000...then it overspeeds so i hit the overdrive on and it will let me go up in speed but RPM goes up to 4000 +. there isn't tons to do in Reno besides gamble, but there IS tons to do around Reno! Make sure to take a day to drive either around Lake Tahoe or at least spend the day at the Lake- probably South Shore where most of the action is. You can take a paddle boat tour out to Emerald Bay on either the Tahoe Queen or the MS Dixie. You can stop in Truckee at the Donner Memorial and walk around Truckee- an awesome little town. The lake is 70 miles around and making a few stops would take the whole day. Also, you can spend a day visiting 2 different places- one is Virginia City, the historic town up in the mountains where gold and silver were mined and Mark Twain lived. It's mostly original and super fun to visit. The other place which you can visit on the same day, just down the mountain is Carson City, the capitol of NV. There is the NV State Museum, a railroad museum and other stuff to do. For a long time it was the smallest capitol city in the country. Take a walking tour (maps available at the Chamber) which will take you past lots of historic homes, including the governor's mansion. have fun in the area!!!

My life plan is to train to become a cardiothoracic surgeon and has been for some time. However i also have dreams of a family and things like most people do. What's up with Louisiana pharmacies? I went to 4 places to fill my lortab script and they said they were out.

I get a script of lortab (a controlled narcotic) for my ongoing battle with cancer. I have never had a problem before, but lately, the pharmacies have claimed to be out of stock. The script is for 180 which is a high amount (a months supply), but I don't see how all pharmacies in my town can be out. Also, my friend got a letter in the mail saying that her doctor will no longer be prescribing Soma and Xanax because of common abuse of these drugs. What's going on? If you really want to drop weight you're going to need to do somethings other than starve yourself. You should eat healthy, forget the 100 calorie packs, they're alright but you'd be better off with fruits and veggies. You can lose weight not working out, I actually just started a diet but do to work have not had the chance to work out and have lost a few pounds but I know if I start working out I can lose up to 7lbs a week, atleast for the first 2-3 weeks. But I'm a bigger guy... I'm 5'8 248 right now. Exercising will help out big time. Even if you just take a 30 minute walk it will help, or jog for 30 minutes. You need to give a little to get a little. You don't sound like you want to try, you just want it to happen.

My hamster escapes all the time. I just duct taped her cage and it worked. If the hamter escapes from the top of the cage, don't put tall toys in her cage. Apple will not harm the hamster, but they do like apple. So, I am not sure that will keep her away from the bars. I have heard about people using vinegar, but I'm not sure. Google it. Also, you could make your own cage. Just take a big plastic storage tub, take the lid and cut a big hole in it and put screen over it. You can google that too to see how to make it. The hamsters have hard times escapin from that!

Question about roof trusses, atic space and how much weight?

I have a newly built 26 x 30 foot garage. The trusses span the 30 foot width. I ordered trusses that left me a bonus room of sorts down the center. The bonus room is about 5'6" tall down the center and tapers down at a sharp triangular angle to about 8 foot wide. This was designed to give me a lot of storage room above my garage. My question is, just how much storage can I place in there? Should also mention the flooring is 3/4" plywood in this bonus room area. My trusses were placed 24 inches on center, please keep in mind they span 30 feet to the outer walls. For this 30 foot span there is no other support system, no beams or anything of that nature just the outer walls and what I ume to be well designed trusses. So some piling in my lifetime aculation of excess "attic' stuff it occurred to me that this is getting to be quite heavy. Is this something I need to worry about? What should I do if I have a formerly stitched area on my chin that isn't healing as well as it should.?

I got four stitches taken out of my chin over a week ago. The stitches were difficult for the doctor on hand to take out and he essentially had to completely take off the scab in order to remove them cleanly (or so he said). As of now, the area on my chin looks less like a scar and is actually growing out a little bit. If I apply any pressure at all, a small amount of puss comes out followed by a little blood. I'm not overly worried by I want to know how I should proceed. Is there any chance they didn't remove all of the stitches and this area is infected? Any ideas?

However they (especially my male) drink apporx. 3-4 gallons of water a day.(Combined) No lie- especially in summer. My mastiffs actually lose their "bulk" as they got older. I have always used LARGE BREED SENIOR *on all my dogs, senior or not- and they are fine. Healthy and happy-good weight.Neo's life span is (normally) 9-10 yrs. But-I do not believe that .If they are healthy and well fed, and exercised 2 times a day, loved to death, I think they live longer. My dogs really really hate the heat. We live in upstate NY-it can get hot and really muggy-they pretty much get walked at the crack of dawn and right after sunset at night in summer. They do not mind winter. In fact mine will lay in the snow for hours. They DO need training right away to let them know who is boss- or you are in for trouble. I had a female and we were kicked out of school until we did 5 private lessons, then we graduated. They are gentle, loving giants. Loyal, mellow and just plain sweet. They do however burp, fart, snore, drool did I mention fart fart fart and drool drool drool?????? I got mine from a rescue and 1 got from a horrible nasty backyard breeder-do not do this. I had to have her put down at 2 because of severe hip dysplasia after 3 surgeries did not help, and one day she went totally paralyzed. Heartbreaking.Still not over that one. I have to say- I love all dogs. But-these dogs will always be my favorite-like anyone else who has any other dog- I will always have 1 somehow!!! You do know 3 dogs is a HUGE commitment. Vet bills, toenails, they are prone to ear infections, skin rashes and constipation, because they have a slow slow digestive system. And I am a firm believer in a ton of exercise. Ok. Im in high school and I want to be a business major. However, I also tend to be aiming for a very hard university like Stanford. Ever since I was little, my goal was to get in there. Let's say I played Varsity basketball in my high school for 4 years, team captain and such, then id probably get in or if i am a very good golfer, won awards, then go into stanford like Tiger Woods. My doctor ordered me to have a brain mri with the contrast dye. I went in and went through the procedure. They told me that I was done. Then the technician started questioning me about my history, if I had brain cancer in my family, or any other type cancer. On my way home the technician called me and told me that I needed to go to the Cancer center here for the same test. Not the doctor. I was petrified. My whole family was upset at the thought. We had lost a family member to cancer last year. 8 yr old granddaughter. Today the doctor apologized and said that he got on their cases in the radiology dept. My question is , can I sue them for mental anguish because I shouldn't have had to, nor my family members, go through that ordeal.

Personally I could not wear a t-shirt like that. I had an abortion about 30 yrs ago and it was not something I wanted to talk about much less advertise. 6 year old Female severe stomach pain.?

I realize your daughters very young but I have a Hiatal Hernia and Acid Reflux that's why I take Zantac 150mg. I too had this pain for 6 months from March to June of last year, the doctors ran every test including every blood test and nothing ever showed up. They said it had to be my Acid Reflux backing up in my stomach or something like that. I found an o-ring in my Target Brand Milk Jug.?

I drank the whole jug, all one gallon's worth, over a few days. In my last pour I didn't notice the o-ring fall in the cup, but I heard something strange. I looked all over the milk and in the jug. Nothing. Then I drank the gl, and in my last gulp I almost swallowed a black rubber o-ring 2cm in diameter. I didn't choke, but was terribly grossed out. Swanson Chimney Range Hood....?

The home we purchased recently has the above range hood. The light turns on but the fan or motor doesn't seem to be working. When I was 7, my mom and I were visiting my grandma in the hospital. While in her room, I literally saw her flatline. It was THE most depressing and terrifying experience in my life. After that, I have been terribly afraid of hospitals. I always feel like me and or my loved ones will drop dead suddenly. I always have this feeling that death is right around the corner in hospitals. A couple of weeks ago, I had an appointment in the hospital. I had to see what was giving me headaches. I was recently involved in a verbal confrontation at school with a girl a year younger than myself. During the time in which we were yelling at each other, a boy (my ex boyfriend) a year older than me stepped in between us and grabbed me by the shoulders and shook me. I told him to "move" and he refused, and reached out and pushed me. As he pushed me, I swung and hit the girl across the face. Of course, the girl started to cry and went straight to the principal's office. I was called in and told that I would be suspended for 3 days and we would have a DAEP (Disciplanary Alternative Educational Program) hearing on the day I got back to decide if I would go there or not. When we had the meeting, I was told I would have 90 days but him being "a nice person" cut it to 30. Anyways, I also got charged with Battery ault and had to appear in court, I recieved a 264 dollar fine, and 32 hours of Community Service. I don't agree with my punishment because 2 weeks before I hit the girl, another girl had hit her too, and that girl only recieved 3 days of ISS (In School Suspension) and she had chrages filed as well and recieved ONLY 8 hours of community servide. It's not like I'm a troublesome student either, I have good grades, I'm always a happy person, I've never had a violent background, and I'm graduating a year early. The only reason I had ever been called into the office before this reason was because of tardies and skippinf twice, but what teenager doesn't do that? Anyways, I feel that I did deserve to be punished because what I did was wrong, but being charged with "ault" and recieving a record and being put in a place (DAEP) where I have to wear a jumpsuit everyday like I'm in prison, Does that sound fair to you? Oh, and the boy who AULTED me, got nothing. The school refused to punish him and told me I could file charges at the Police Department, so I did and it was the school's peace officer who met with me, and told me that no one in the PD would listen to my story or take the charges I wished to file so my mom said we'd take it to a higher authority and he threatened us by saying, "You better be careful, very careful if you peruse this.. I'm just saying." I feel that all of this is wrong, and we have taken it before the school board and they sided with the school, and were in the process of filing with TEA. Anyways, I just want to know others opinions on it. Please and Thank You :)
