Singing abilities to get into good college?

Ok. Im in high school and I want to be a business major. However, I also tend to be aiming for a very hard university like Stanford. Ever since I was little, my goal was to get in there. But as I grew older, I lost confidence and lowered my goal, eventually going from Stanford, to UC Berkeley, to U of A, to a community college. Its because of the fact that you need like a 5.0 gpa and perfect score to get into schools like Stanford if youre trying to get into a top school. So my question is this: "How can I make my singing ability become my tool to get into a good college?" First, lets back track a little bit. Let's say I played Varsity basketball in my high school for 4 years, team captain and such, then id probably get in or if i am a very good golfer, won awards, then go into stanford like Tiger Woods. I am good at singing, so how can I make that work? Do I have to do live concerts or something like that????Or do i enter contests? How can i get people to acknowledge my talent and use that to get in to a good college meaning, use it to my advantage??
