Novels That Focus On Matters of the Heart?

Does anyone know any good novels to recommend that focuses on knowing what your heart wants and listening to it and all that. I know some of you are thinking of a love story but I'm sure there's novel out there that can deal with that matter and not be a love story, although recommended love stories on the subject are welcomed as well. Please let me know, need it just to read on to get a brainstorm for a story I'm writing
