Best glue to stick two 4mm edges of plastic together + withstand heavy impact (electronic cymbals)?

hi there my brother has an electronic drum kit but had managed to snap on one of his cymbal's at its weakest join which has a length of 12cm but a width of only 4mm, he uses his drum kit quite intensively puts the cymbals under a fair bit of strain, i was wondering of any known and readily available adhesives that would be able to hold and maintain these pieces together again ???? i understand i could use a splint to help with the support during impact any suggestion on material and fitting would also be very helpful
