Joint families : Boon or curse?

Around 30 years ago, joint families were considered a boon. Nowadays, we see them only in EKTA KAPOOR`S teleserials. All the members jointly did house hold cores. Income from every member collectively would take care of entire family expenses. Where are such things now? Selfishness of the ladies in the households and Joru Ka Ghulam nature of the males has made the joint families a rare phenomenon. Advantages have been converted into disadvantages and the BOON has been converted into CURSE. People have started earning more money but lost the peace (or piece) of minds. YSE.
