Whats it going to take?

You would think that, in the world we live in today, N.A.S.A. would have some feasiable way to retrieve satellites out of space and possibly return them to the owners, or hurl them towards the sun. I mean honestly why should anyone worry about some piece of space "debris" falling on them or anything they own. Does anyone know if there is, has or ever will be a solution to the barage of space junk bombarding the world? Please this is a serious question
