My parents won't cosign my student loan - can I still be approved?
Honeslty the best source to answer your question would be the bank that is going to lend you the money. If your parents won't cosign for you, majority of the time you just have a higher interest rate on your loan. Try filling out a fafsa at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. It is alot of work to fill one out for the first time but obviously you're an upstanding individual that doesn't mind the work. They will give you the best options on student loans, like subsidized (the government pays your interest) or unsubsidized (your interest collects while you're in school). Be careful of loans and know you're repayment options, like what a semester off does to your repayment.
