Hamster escaped help.( please help)?

My hamster escapes all the time. I just duct taped her cage and it worked. If the hamter escapes from the top of the cage, don't put tall toys in her cage. Apple will not harm the hamster, but they do like apple. So, I am not sure that will keep her away from the bars. I have heard about people using vinegar, but I'm not sure. Google it. Also, you could make your own cage. Just take a big plastic storage tub, take the lid and cut a big hole in it and put screen over it. You can google that too to see how to make it. The hamsters have hard times escapin from that!
